Profile won't verify

Google picks the verification method for you; you can't choose. Here's what each one needs and what to do when it stalls.

Video verification (most common now)

Record in one continuous take: walk from the street, show the sign, go inside, show equipment or stock, and something that proves you run the place (business licence on the wall, branded vehicle, point-of-sale screen).
Use the Google Business Profile app on your phone, in daylight, without cuts or edits.
Service businesses: film the branded vehicle, tools and a business document instead of a storefront.

Takes up to 14 days. Don't edit the name, address or category while waiting; that cancels the card.
If nothing arrives after 14 days, request a new one. Three failed cards usually switches you to video.

Offered only to some categories. The code arrives immediately; enter it in the same session.

Google says reviews take up to 5 business days but often run longer in high-risk categories.
Check that the business name, category and address meet the guidelines; profiles that don't stay "under review" indefinitely.
Contact Business Profile support through the help centre with your case ID; don't start a second verification.

Can I pick postcard instead of video?

No. Google assigns the method. If video is offered, that's the only route.

My address isn't on the map

Fix the pin in Maps first (Suggest an edit), then verify.
